9A5W from Croatia, Hvala Ljepa!

This is a QSL card from 9A5W station from Croatia.

I had a QSO with 9A5W on Jan. 24, 2010 in the BARTG Sprint Contest on the band of 40m RTTY.

This is the second confirmed Croatian stations. The previous confirmation was for a QSO on 17m band SSB.

An emblem which is designed on the center of QSL card is called "Shahobnica". It is also designed on the center of Croatian national flag as red-white lattice pattern. Maybe you will remember the football uniform of Croatian national team. Shahobnica is the national symbol of Croatia, which is used for a long history.

Shahobnica was banned to use during the time of the former Yugoslavia because this is the nationalistic symbol. After Croatia was independent of the former Yugoslavia in 1991, this emblem showed up again officially.

Hvala Ljepa za FB QSL!
