CQ WW WPX Contest Phone Participation
I participated in the CQ WW WPX Contest Phone on March 24-25 in Inami Town, Hyogo, Japan.
My individual result was total 302 QSOs. I reduced the number of QSOs from last year's 325 QSOs. It was very tough contest for me because WX was heavily windy. I won the first place in JA3 in the last contest, but this year I aimed at many QSOs anyway.
Really SSB contest is more difficult than in other modes. It is very difficult to make QSO stations understand collect callsign and contest number once. They often mistook my callsign JF3, JH3, JG7 and so on.
It is very hard to understand on phone mode weak signals which we can hear on CW mode. Phone is begginers' mode because we can start ham life without any technique. But it is the most difficult mode in the respect that we need high technique for exact QSOs.

Russian DX Contest Participation
I participated in the Russian DX Contest on March 18 in Ikeda City, Osaka, Japan.
Last year the third Monday of March was national holiday and I could participate in the contest on full time. But this year the next day of contest is working day, so I had no choice but join the contest only on Sunday.
My individual result was total 180 QSOs. Because I gave up participation at 0830UTC to avoid traffic jam, I missed QSOs with stations in the zone 14.
WX was rainy and log software 5M contest didn't work well. I had much trouble during the contest, but QSO pace was better than last year.

2. JARTS WW RTTY Contest (Oct.14-16, 2011)
Total 110 QSOs from 33 DXCC Entities
QSO Entities:
AS: JA, HL, BY, BV, VR2, JT, UA0, UN, HS

QTH: Home in Amagasaki City, Hyogo, JApan
Rig: YAESU FT-450M
ANT: 12-meter wire ANT with ATU
Logsoft: 5MContest made in Ukraine
Remarks: I was forced to replace a fishing rod antenna with 12-meter wire loop style because I was ordered to remove fishing rod on the balcony by apartment owner. I tried “new” balcony antenna for the first time. Both emission and reception from new antenna became worse than from the previous one. But I managed to make QSOs with EU stations dependent on air condition.

All Asian DX Contest Phone Participation
I participated in the All Asian DX Contest Phone organized by JARL at the same time as the Russian “RADIO” WW RTTY Contest.
The final individual result was total 71 QSOs. I used 7m wire antenna with ATU fixed by fishing rod on the balcony. I used this facility in the SSB DX contest for the first time.
It was very hard to add the number of QSOs up, but it wasn’t impossible. I could enjoy QSOs with stations from Asia and Pacific regions, especially I was very happy to get multipliers of LU. I certified that it is possible to have QSO with the entity of the opposite side of the Globe. But as for QSOs with EU stations, I got to only UA European Russian stations, no other EU stations. I couldn’t communicate with ER, ES, 9A and OH although they reached me very strongly.

Russian “RADIO” WW RTTY Contest Participation
A super typhoon attacked the western Japan in the first weekend of September. I cancelled field operation and participated the All Asian DX Contest Phone organized by JARL and the Russian “RADIO” WW RTTY Contest organized by Russian journal “RADIO”.
The final individual result of the Russian “RADIO” WW RTTY Contest was total 53 QSOs. I used 7m wire antenna with ATU fixed by fishing rod on the balcony.
I could enjoy RTTY contest with such a small antenna. As for high bands, I have QSOs with AS and OC stations in the daytime and with EU in the evening. But the northerly direction is fully blocked by our building, so I have no chance to hear signals from NA on the band of 15m. On the other hand, I can communicate with NA and SA on the band of 20m and 40m in the evening time. I’ll research the difference.
I thought entrants from AS are very little. Maybe many of AS operators participate the All Asian DX Contest which takes place at the same time.
I used Ukrainian 5M Contest as the log soft and RTTY sending machine. Although problem happened in the previous contest, I could use it comfortably this time. It is very useful in the former Soviet contests.
